Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in April/ May 2019. The state comprising a total of 60 constituencies is currently under the leadership of BJP with 48 seats. Of the rest of the seats National People's party holds 5, Indian National Congress holds 5, and Independents hold 2.
Arunachal Pradesh is being led by BJP's Pema Khandu at the present. The party declared that it will be contesting in all 60 constituencies and there will be no seat sharing with any other parties. Pema Khandu who is the face of the BJP for the upcoming elections has been touring the state in order to raise awareness among the people.
Indian National Congress the second biggest party in the state and the principal opposition, is also confident of its victory in the state and has been campaigning accordingly. The leader Takam Sanjoy expressed his faith in the party's victory in the next elections.
While it is indefinite if the next battle will be head on between BJP and Congress, the results of the Arunachal Pradesh elections 2019 will be interesting because of BJP's defeats and Congress' victories in various states recently.
Arunachal Pradesh General Elections 2019 will happen in single phase on 11th April 2019. The state has two Lok Sabha states �??????�?????�????�???�??�?�¢?? Arunachal Pradesh East and Arunachal Pradesh West. The two major parties in the state, Congress and BJP hold one seat each from 2014. The predictions for the state are pointing towards the victory of the NDA alliance in both the seats leaving Congress empty handed but the results might surprise us.
