Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections Live Updates
Madhya Pradesh elections are scheduled to be on 28th November 2018. Comprising of 230 assembly seats, any party in the state would require 116 seats to establish a government. The state is currently being led by BJP which had secured 165 seats in the previous elections. Congress had secured less than 60 seats in the previous elections but this time the tide looks like it has turned. Various opinion polls by news websites and channels have put Congress ahead of BJP in the upcoming elections. There was also a rumor of Congress BSP alliance in Madhya Pradesh which could affect the victory.
The opinion polls have revealed that the seat share gap between Congress and BJP is low and that the alliance could actually benefit Congress in securing a win.
