Makarand finds his eighth-grade mark sheet and sees that he had failed in mathematics. He hides the pink mark sheet so that nobody sees it. When he goes to find it later, it is missing. Tulika sees him searching for something constantly and questions him. When he tells her that he has been looking for a pink piece of paper, she assumes that it is a love letter. Later, Aai laminates and gives the mark sheet to him.
