Appa comes home crying and tells Aai that he has lost his friend, Vasant. He informs her that he was dead two days ago and nobody knew it as both his sons are settled abroad and none of them bothered to check on him. Appa gets worried that even his children might abandon him and hence acts strange with them. Only after Aai asks him to not spoil the present thinking about the future, he talks to both Malhar and Makarand.
