Tulika and Harshda dress up well and offer their husbands sweets, hoping for a gift in return, as it is Padwa. They are upset when they find out that neither Makarand nor Malhar has gotten them any gifts. They later tell Appa that they have got their wives' gifts. The kids in the meantime hide the gifts, so that they can demand gifts for themselves from their fathers.
