The animals assemble at their meeting place in the jungle. The bear and the monkey start quarrelling about which fruit is better - custard apple or mahua. The elephant announces that the two of them should bring the two fruIts before him and he will decide which one's sweeter. After a while, all the animals find that the monkey is unconsciously lying on the ground. On regaining consciousness, the monkey informs them that a branch broke off, resulting in the accident. The tortoise tells the animals that even he did something stupid which resulted in him risking his life. All the animals become curious to hear his story.
