When Shruti asks Kartik why he has taken up boxing, he says that he wanted her to know that he isn't against boxing. He then drops Shruti home and they discuss boxing as a sport on their way. While leaving, Shruti extends her hand for friendship towards Kartik. After talking to his cousin, Kartik decides to call Shruti. He tells her that he wouldnt mind taking things ahead with her beyond friendship. Kartik's confession leaves Shruti smiling. When Kartik's mother asks him who he was talking to, he lies to her saying he was speaking with Uttara.
