Karn and his younger brother were practicing their bow and arrow skills. Shon was amazed by his elder brother's shooting skills and took pride on him. A Kshatriya boy named Uttam interrupted Shon. Shon playfully challenged Uttam for an archery competition. The one who will achieve the target will be the winner and the loser will have to touch winner's feet. Uttam got nervous thinking about the difficult target set by Shon.
